Every one who has a job is a stake holder in building a great work environment. Owners, office managers, facilities managers often have added responsibility of finding the right solutions for improving offices and work spaces to improve employee happiness and productivity. Frosted window film offers unexpected work place benefits.
1. Privacy

Privacy is the number one (and most obvious) benefit of frosted window vinyl. It serves a critically important function in many work places. Privacy is also important for employee productivity. Having a space to work free from distraction is a basic work place need. But more critically important is the need to protect client, customer and employee confidentiality. Many companies work with sensitive or confidential information and have a fiduciary responsibility to protect that information from uninvited attention. Frosted privacy film enables you to create a soft visible barrier while allowing natural light to pass into the work space.
See the above photo showing a simple frosted window treatment we installed for H&R Block. The external windows created privacy concerns for both H&R Block and their clients. Customers and clients want to feel confident that their privacy will be respected by service providers. This is important for industries or organizational functions that deal with financial information, evaluation information, medical services and treatments, child care and other personal care services. Other industries where privacy is ciritcally important to protect clients, customers and their information include:
- health care
- medical services
- dental services
- child care centers
- personal care services
- financial services
- tax preparation services
- human resources
- payroll services
- counseling services
- law offices
- consulting firms
- conference and meeting rooms
2. Space

Interior or exterior, people love thier windows. It is human nature. We typically don't like to feel shut in and windows provide an greater sense of space even when we are confined to a small foot print. It is important to note that adding privacy does not always require full window coverage. Depending on the amount of privacy needed, you can plan your coverage and design based on the outside viewers point of view. Frosted window film has amazing flexibility to support almost any design - allowing for just the right balance between privacy and a sense of space. To the right is an image of frosted window film design and installation we did for local Seattle Builder, Howard S. Wright. This design offers privacy to those in the meeting room while retaining a connection to the rest of the office space.

Another example of adding a higher level of privacy while still keeping a larger sense of space is this frosted glass vinyl design and installation we did for UBS Financial Services. (see image to left) UBS Financial Services professionals are frequently meeting with clients and discussing and reviewing confidential information. Their clients need to trust that their privacy is respected and the frosted window film goes a long way to convey this client respect. Although most of the window is covered, there is still an opening / design at the top that connects the space to the rest of the company.
3. Branding

Finally, there are endless possibilities to add branding to your work place. As you can see in the image to the right, Unify Square opted for a very upscale branding treatment on their conference room by adding an large scale logo and company name to the conference room windows. Privacy was not the objective of this window graphic.

If you want to combine privacy with branding, a digitally printed window treatment may be the right solution for you. A technology company, Foundry Interactive, was looking to add privacy to a work space that was exposed to an external window. None of their employees wanted to sit there because they felt distracted by activity in the hall way. The nearby door also served as the main entrance to the business. We printed their logo on the frosted vnyl and insalled on this externally facing window. Now the company has more productive work space and an external business sign.
So have it all! Whether you need to add that up-scale look to your retail storefront, to your interior business windows and doors, or if you would like to incorporate etched glass vinyl into a custom logo or reception sign, we can discuss the various ways this attractive and versatile material can be used.
