Protecting Client Privacy with Frosted Window Film
H&R Block recently opened up new retail space in Tacoma, WA. This fantastic space offered bright naturally lit work spaces for client tax preparation and consultations by H&R Block's trained professional tax preparers. As tax season approached, it became clear that discussing and handling confidential client information in front of large transparent public retail windows was not ideal. H&R Block needed a solution to protect client confidentiality.
H&R Block called on RainMaker Signs to design and install frosted window film to add privacy while still allowing the flow of natural light through their work space.
RainMaker Signs visited the H&R Block offices to perform a site survey. The purpose of the site survey was to confirm window measurements and discuss the privacy goals of the project. RainMaker signs provided consultation on height, positioning, and amount of coverage needed to protect privacy, maximize natural light, and minimize costs. RainMaker Signs then custom cut over 100 square feet of MACtac Glass Decor 700 frosted window self adhesive vinyl.
RainMaker Signs' professional installation team is certified with over 15 years experience. Installation was scheduled with the client. This particular installation required a wet application process. A wet application process involves wetting the glass surface with a custom solution before applying the frosted vinyl. This allows the vinyl to "float" against the surface and be re-positioned if necessary, for a even, level, professional finish. Once the material is perfectly positioned, the excess moisture is "squeegeed" out from behind the film creating a smooth frosted glass affect - no bubbles, no wrinkles.
Professional services have a responsibility to protect client information. While the hot topics these days are about on-line security of customer or patient records, there is still a need to provide basic "old school" physical privacy.
