Yi Dim Sum is a new food truck coming on the scene in Seattle WA. Niki Sze, owner of Yi Dim Sum, is taking her talents as a restaurateur in China to the streets of Seattle. The new food truck will specialize in seasonal and hand crafted dim sum. Dim Sum is a style of Cantonese prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. The unique culinary art dim sum originated in southern China, who over the centuries transformed yum cha from a relaxing respite to a loud and happy dining experience. More traditional dim sum restaurants typically serve dim sum until mid-afternoon. However, in modern society it has become common place for restaurants to serve dim sum at dinner time, various dim sum items are even sold as take out for students and office workers on the go - perfect for food truck cuisine!
The Yi Dim Sum food truck graphics were designed by Duncan Brotheron who is based in Japan. Our design team then scaled and modified the design to fit the specific vehicle based on our measurements. Our clients know that we are here to support their vehicle wrap goals whether they need a wrap designed from scratch, need us to adapt an existing design or have a print ready design. In every case, we take care to measure the specific vehicle prior to printing to ensure a perfect fit on the vehicle.
To install graphics on a van like this one, or any other vehicle for that matter, we start by taking pictures of all sides of the vehicle. Then we measure each section and create proofs on a template. The proofs are sent to the client for final approval and installation is scheduled. Once we complete the graphics and design work, we print the graphics in 54" panels on a wide format HP latex printer, laminate every panel to improve longevity of the graphics, and apply the printed graphics to the vehicle.
