Project:  Custom Wall Graphics Customer:  Google Location:  Kirkland, WA Google is a rapidly growing company.   Headquartered in Mountain View, CA, they have campuses around the world.  One of their larger offices is in Kirkland, WA near the shores of beautiful Lake Washington.  Google is notorious for creating fun and unique work spaces.  Google wanted wall graphics for some of their new space to add energy and support their brand and culture.  Rather than more traditional numbers and letters, Google tends to use unique naming conventions to identify rooms and work spaces throughout their buildings.   They were looking to add graphics to support two of their mini-kitchens and add names to some work spaces in a second building.  Google called RainMaker Signs about their project and we scheduled a site survey. At our scheduled appointment we took measurements of all of the walls where Google wanted to add graphics, evaluated the space for viewing distance and angles to help in design and size planning, and performed a materials test with 6 different types of wall graphics materials to determine the best materials to use based on location, wall surface, and desired time frame for graphics.  Additionally, we reviewed and confirmed the goals and objectives Google had for these spaces.   Finally we confirmed that the walls had not recently been painted.  (There is nothing worse for wall graphics than fresh paint.  Fresh paint needs several weeks to cure before wall graphics can properly adhere to the surface.)  RainMaker Signs designed, printed and installed wall graphics for the two mini-kitchens based on names related to the local geography and a favorite activity in the area.  In addition, RainMaker Signs designed, printed and installed names for rooms in a second building based on obscure Crayola Crayons colors.  RainMaker Signs used their high tech color management process to produce the names in colors that matched the original Crayola Crayon colors.       The wall graphics were designed by the RainMaker Signs design team using Adobe Cloud Illustrator.  Once the designs were approved by Google they were printed using an HP 265000 Wide Format Latex printer on 3M adhesive vinyl.   The materials and printer were custom calibrated by RainMaker Signs to ensure high quality color management throughout the print process.  The printed vinyl was laminated with 3M adhesive laminate then cut on a GraphTec Cutter.  The cut vinyl was then masked for installation.  With confirmation from the client on placement, RainMaker Signs installed the graphics throughout the campus.
