Shrink Wrap from winter damage

Posted in: Industry News

Unpredictable weather can cause many projects your doing to stop in its tracks. Nothing can be more frustrating for someone to come home after a long day to find their boat or RV uncovered in the snow or rain.

With New Mexico’s unpredictable weather, it can snow, rain and shine within a matter of minutes. This kind of weather can be harsh on your boat or RV.  When covering with a traditional tarp, you run the risk of it blowing off or falling apart from this weather. Nothing can be more frustrating than having to wait for Mother Nature to give you a break to clean, dry and recover your boat during the off season.

Tufcoat has experience working alongside contractors, sub-contractors and clients to provide weather protection with shrink wrap sheeting with both our materials and installation techniques.

Our thicker sheeting has been designed with the construction industry in mind. The 300 micron thickness makes it more durable and suitable for long-term external projects. Flame-retardant properties, classified to BS: EN13501, LPS 1215 and LPS 1207, ensures that it can be used on anything, even construction sites.

Tufcoat wrap is manufactured to contain UV inhibitors and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) to prevent it becoming brittle when used long-term. This has helped international projects facing both extremes of weather, from the harsh sun in Dubai to the cold snowy winters of Azerbaijan.

Unlike traditional sheeting, which can be designed to detach in high winds, the continuous bond of sheeting and drum-tight wrap around anything and will be fully protected through even the worst of weather.

On the rare occasion that an installation is unsuccessful and weather containment is compromised, Tufcoat are dedicated to getting a team to site as quickly as possible to repair any breaches and ensure sites are quickly protected.
