We recently received a call from Lisa H. The nature of her call was in regards to water damage and mold they had recently discovered. Lisa H. had purchased a home built in 1941 and upon beginning a bathroom remodel discovered water damage and mold.
When Lisa purchased the home, she noticed a musty smell but disregarded it due to the age of the home. Upon beginning her bathroom renovation and removing the laminate flooring she was surprised to find the water damage depicted in the image above. The musty smell Lisa was smelling was in fact mold growing right beneath her feet. Unfortunately the beautiful wood flooring beneath the laminate was too damaged to salvage. Lead based paint on the walls and Asbestos complicated this remodel for the DIY homeowners.
