The value of a sign stretched over a time period

No Joke, you can spend $10,000 on an LED motion sign without even trying…and that is only for the sign, no installation.  In business, signage is a major factor in how you communicate with your customer, without needing to have a one on one conversation.  So it is obvious signs are extremely important if you want to attract customers and increase sales for your business.

This article is about cost over time.  You buy signs for your business, maybe advertising an upcoming Spring sale, or new upcoming items/services you will carry.  This signage would more than likely be temporary, and thrown out once the sale is over.  Then there are other more expensive signs, like your channel letters, or as mentioned above, a high Def LED motion sign which advertises to all the drive-by traffic.  That signage is somewhat more expensive, and it’s important to understand what the value a sign brings, and the number of impressions your sign will make during it’s life, that’s the first thing you should be considering when purchasing signage, then price.

Below is a chart that displays the cost of an investment over time.

Ultimately, the sign will pay for itself over and over in the form of increased sales.  It’s knowing what type of signage is most effective, and knowing how to get the biggest bang for your buck.

If you would like to improve your sales, take a look at how your signs look.  Is it time for a refresh?  Are the signs you have now doing the job they need to be?  If you notice sales are down, be proactive, and make the needed changes.
