About
Tom Anderberg was raised on a farm in Illinois. Driving tractors by the age of 5 and cars by the age of 8, he was always the inquisitive one, constantly fixing and inventing ways to do things guided by his grandfather and mentor, Lester Foster. With a welding rod in one hand and a hammer in the other, diagnosing problems and fixing them comes naturally.
After graduating with a B.S. in the field of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, Tom worked in Los Angeles in structural engineering analysis but knew his passion was in building and repairing structures.
Over the past 36 years in the field of construction, Tom was the owner of a structural construction firm in the East Bay from 1973 to 1995 that specialized in residential drainage systems, foundations, settlement, underpinning, seismic retrofitting, retaining walls, hillside stabilization and water intrusion issues.
Tom Anderberg has also held multiple patents; one of which is the “Punch Pile” Foundation Underpinning Technique (an underground pile driving process to support and inhibit settlement of building foundations). Recently, Tom traveled to Europe and Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to discuss the possibility of utilization of his techniques for supporting structures.
Throughout the years, Tom has also appeared on numerous radio and television stations, written various articles for publication and has been invited to speak at various seminars.
