But where is the line between early enough to be festive throughout the Christmas season, and when is so early it’s tacky. For other folks, December 1st is the true start of the Christmas season. It gives you a few weeks to enjoy how beautiful your house looks all lit up without stepping on any other holidays.
Another fun tradition is to decorate 12 days before Christmas. We’re all familiar with the song, the Twelve Days of Christmas, and a lot of people use 12 days before Christmas and 12 days after as a rule of thumb.
