Project: Illuminated Channel Letter Sign

We received a call from a local business man in Longview, TX. He was looking for a sign company that could fabricate and install a set of channel letters for his new business that he was starting up. In the end, we made a set of channel letters with logo as well as illuminated tenant panels for Small Cakes spot in the shopping centers pylon sign.

Small Cakes in Longview, TX is part of a national franchise started by Jeff Martin. They offer 18 signature flavors every morning, fresh from scratch. There slogan is “Maybe a Cupcake Will Help?”. USA TODAY listed Small Cakes as one of the top ten cupcake places to try in the country. They will be opening their door very soon! To create the sign for Small Cakes we used aluminum for the metal frame (returns) and cut out acrylic letters for the faces with translucent vinyl applied. The logo and letters were mounted to a raceway that was custom painted to match the background of the building. The tenant panels were made from 1/4″ thick polycarbonate panels approximately 10 foot wide by 36 inches tall. We printed the graphics on 3M translucent vinyl that was applied directly to the panels and placed in the metal frame of the pylon sign. We use our Large format HP 260 Latex printer for all our digital print needs.
