Luis’s positive spirit, passion for the game, and ability to zero-in quickly on my individual, latent strengths allowed me to blossom quickly as a first-season player. As a longtime athlete in other sports, I know that skill, knowledge and excellent instruction comprise only half of what makes a coach successful. The other critical half of the equation is an ability to connect with his players, and to communicate with them in a way that empowers them to achieve their full potential. Luis embodies all of the above. I highly recommend him as a coach and motivator.

I have played for Luis’ Sunday Coed Soccer Team for two seasons now.
Luis holds practice sessions prior to the games on Sunday and the standard and experience of the players on the team is very mixed, with both male and female participants.
I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of each of Luis’ practices using the Soccer Intelligence Workshop drills. Each session was well structured and had a common theme in mind. He starts with the basics of the practice topic and builds up to a game scenario.
This type of approach really helps everyone to relate the skills learned to the real game situations. Each session is well organized and fast paced flowing at a speed everyone can understand and enjoy.
Luis is enthusiastic and encourages comment and participation from all team members, which has really made a different to the performance of our team.
I would highly recommend Luis’ Soccer IQ training methods and approach.

Luis has been a part of our co-ed team for a couple of years. Since he has been with us, he has helped our team improve dramatically. With Luis running just one practice a week, our team has gone from mostly losing games, to being one of the top teams in our league….and that’s without the entire team able to make the practices!!
These practices have taught us (or reminded us) to slow down, get our heads up, anticipate, and make the easy passes. The ball can move much faster than we can, so we try to play smarter than the other team. He has had us do shooting drills that gave us confidence, accuracy and power in both shooting and crossing the ball.
We have a wide range of skill level on our team, and I’m sure that everyone has gotten a lot out of the practices and personal coaching from Luis. I recommend absorbing Luis’ soccer knowledge, no matter your experience or level of play….you are sure to improve your game (and have fun doing it)!!

As long time captain of an over 30 coed soccer team I know how hardheaded and ‘un-coachable’ players at this level are. Typically, players “have seen it all” and “know it all”. Our record for the two seasons prior to the last spring season were both losing records. Our team was going through a major transition with players leaving and challenges with new players coming in as well as injuries to a number of key players …
Luis was able to provide weekly team practices and was instrumental in improving the level of play for all players. At the end of the season the one telling statistic is the team’s record. We ended with five wins, four ties and two losses!
There is no doubt in my mind that Luis has made us better players and a better team. He is a very knowledgeable soccer coach and his patient and relaxed yet very stimulating style provide for an excellent learning environment. I can only hope he will only coach teams in other leagues!
