College Planning FAQ – Where are you located?

I am located in North East Ohio. If my clients are located in the Cleveland area I will come to you. I have no problem traveling around the greater Cleveland, Akron area since I want to make things convenient and personal for my clients. I prefer to meet with clients face to face at least once a month. If this is not possible than I can connect with you my phone, email, or skype.
College Planning FAQ – Why did you decide to get into this business?

I knew that I wanted to work with students. I had very little direction when I was younger and attended a large state university. It was a really bad fit for me and I was very unhappy there. I withdrew from college and met with an educational consultant. She encouraged me to look at smaller schools that were better suited for my needs. I did not take her advice and returned to the same school for another miserable semester. Finally that Spring I returned home and transferred to a local University. While I was completing my undergraduate degree I became a peer mentor and I knew that I belonged in the area of student services. However, without much direction I ended up in the business sector. My first job after I obtained my Master’s Degree was working as a College Recruiter.
In 2001 I had an opportunity to return to school to obtain my License in School Counseling and in 2003 I began working as a school counselor. After 5 years of experience counseling students in a public school setting, I realized the timing was perfect for me to set out on my own and become an independent educational consultant. My goal is to make sure students transition smoothly from high school to college, which will ultimately help guide them on their path to success.
