Trade Show Displays: These are NOT your High School Science Fair Exhibits

A trade show is defined as an event at which goods and services in a specific industry are exhibited and demonstrated.  At these shows, you want to showcase your products and services to pique the interest of prospective customers who are attending in order to learn about your business.

Some characteristics of a typical trade show display are described below:

  • Most trade shows will have some type of wall on which many different types of graphics can be displayed.  Often the graphics will showcase the product or service you are trying to sell.
  • Many will also have one or more tables to exhibit examples of your products as well as literature such as brochures and/or fact sheets which give additional information that your customers can take with them.  Trade Show Display
  • Sometimes, depending on the exhibit, customers will be treated to a demonstration of your product/service to catch their attention.  This would be limited by the amount of space your booth has.

While not all trade show displays are the same, the complexity of the exhibit is also dependent on the size of the trade show floor and the amount of space allotted.  Some can be quite simple, and will only include banners, either hanging on the back wall, or use retractable banners strategically placed in the booth.  Others can be quite complex,  and can include video monitors, and other equipment and will capture the audience’s attention.
