Ollivier Corporation operates its headquarters at 8726 South Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles. It also opened additional locations in the Southland. When one of these venues needed two new acrylic reception wall signs, the company’s management team contacted our sign shop for assistance.
Encapsulating a Brand Message for the Southern California Electronic Security Systems Expert
The Ollivier Corporation is a Southern California fixture. It has helped numerous businesses with network engineering and security systems setups. Now, it needed signs that would encapsulate its brand message and reinforce name recognition among clients and visitors to its new location.
We started with a quarter-inch-thick panel of clear acrylic. Next, our technician die cut vinyl graphics that feature the company’s lettering and logo presentation. After combining the two elements, we mounted the signs with brushed aluminum standoffs to the wall. By using the white color of the wall as the backdrop for the sign, we also succeeded in adding another dimension of visual interest to the presentation.
Now, the products greet visitors who take in the company’s colors alongside its lettering. Wayfinding is a snap. Moreover, the signs reinforce brand awareness.
Choosing the Right Acrylic Setup and Printing Method
Acrylic is a colorless material that is durable in all types of conditions. We can paint it in any color of the rainbow. On the other hand, if you prefer, take a page from the playbook of our client and use its transparency as a backdrop for your message. We could then use an imprinted vinyl overlay. We apply the lettering and images much as we would window graphics to any other see-through surface.
Many business owners also ask us to print their details directly onto the material. We use specialty ink that protects the vibrancy of the color. Typically, we print the information directly on the front of the acrylic. For added depth, we recommend placing the details on the back of the sign. It not only amplifies the good looks of the sign but also protects the ink from scratches.
Featuring a sign that measures a quarter of an inch in thickness is standard. That said, you could also opt to go thinner with an eighth of an inch or go thicker if you like. The conventional design is a rectangle that highlights your details. However, some clients have asked us to contour-cut the sign to boost the impressive depiction of a symbol. Finally, pick out the finish. A glossy finish will reflect the light and bring chic to your location. A matte finish is ideally suited for sites that receive direct illumination.
