From Commercial Signage To Vehicle Graphics, Mark Your Space! - Chicago, IL
January 31, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
Mark your space! Not to be confused with mark your territory. This is a great slogan. In an economy when many are downsizing, it is important to not stop advertising. It’s the lifeblood of your business. Even if your only form of advertising is you making cold calls, it’s still you’re advertising and you can’t stop. Many even increase their advertising to compensate. So if your advertising is highly integrate with signage, then you need to make sure to mark your space and keep your brand strong in your local market.
Depending on your industry different forms of signage are more appropriate or simply just work better. And Mark Your Space signage company in Cook County Chicago near Bartlett and Elgin, IL reminds us that it’s important to utilize all forms of signage that will help us to get our name to our target markets and keep our space marked. From vehicle graphics to commercial signage, Mark Your Space works with their customers to help them determine which forms of signage will traditionally worked best for your industry as well as keep budget concerns in mind at the same time.
If you’re a flower delivery company you might need more signage, for example: a building sign that’s perhaps a back lit sign, signage for your windows, a neon sign to let everyone you’re open, and vehicle wraps on your delivery vans.
In contrast, if you’re a liquor store owner you might only need a neon sign and a standard building sign.
Whatever type of business you own, it’s important to impress your brand and image upon your target market because if they forget about you they will forget to call. And in order to do that, we mark our space.

Bundle Your Services With State Farm Insurance Packages To Save Cash - Concord, CA
January 28, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
Bundle your services with State Farm and save cash! I know you can save a lot with State Farm Insurance because I can speak from personal experience.
I went to audio engineering school to learn how to record music professionally and so I’ve always had expensive electronics in my home. So I wanted to get renter’s insurance to protect all my investments. I switched my car insurance over to State Farm and added on the Renter’s Insurance too. Soon after I ended up with a second car and added it to my policy. I got a multi vehicle discount for that one too.
Add on life insurance, maybe home insurance, motorcycle insurance and you might be really saving some money. If you have multiple vehicles or need multiple types of insurance, you should see what you can save at State Farm, not to mention the personalized service you get when you have your own insurance agent. If you’re in the Concord, California, you should speak with Matthew Rinn. He’s one of State Farm’s best.

A Residential Real Estate Team With Negotiable Commissions? - Hayward, CA
January 24, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
COMMISSIONS ARE ALWAYS NEGOTIABLE - SERVICE IS NOT!!
Commissions are always negotiable? Did I read that right? Apparently yes.
The Thornberry Residential Real Estate Team, located in the East Bay Area (Castro Valley, Hayward and San Leandro), are a family style real estate team with the motto: Commissions are always negotiable - service is not!
The Thornberry Team is a mother - daughter real estate team. Carol Thornberry, a Hayward area resident all her life, left the paralegal world to join up with her daughter, Stacie Thornberry-Martin. They both went to school together to study real estate. They took classes together and got their licenses together and have been helping people in the area to buy and sell homes ever since.
And with their tag-line that “commissions are negotiable” you can bet people want to talk with them. Especially in a market where everyone is trying to save money wherever possible, it’s nice to know that there’s a real estate team out there that will work with you.

An Electrician With Confidence, Experience - Danville, CA
January 22, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
“There’s a reason we have survived and thrived in a tough competitive environment: We’re very good at what we do.” - Paul Lateur
When it comes to hiring a company that is going to be working on and in your home, your personal space, you want only the best and most trustworthy. When I look for a company that provides a more personal type of service like an electrician or general contractor, I want to see a lot of things. I look for things like friendliness, timeliness, client testimonials, of course price competitiveness, but most importantly, confidence. The reason that I want to see confidence is because it tells me the individual or staff is/are very comfortable with their job(s) because the individual knows they’re good.
The difference? There’s being good, acting like you’re good, and knowing that you’re truly good at something. The only way to get to the comfortable state where you’re always relaxed and in the zone at any activity, hobby, passion or sport, is through experience. Confidence through experience.
If you’re a sports person, it’s kind of how LeBron James, basketball Megastar, is graduating to another level right before our eyes. He’s no longer a young guy still learning his craft. Now he’s perfecting. He’s got the experience. And he’s got the confidence.
Paul Lateur has over 25 years of experience as an electrician. He’s also confident in what he does and that’s why it even says so on the front page of his website at the top of the page. He has a certain swagger that comes from only one place - confidence through experience.

Looking For A EUROPEAN Auto Repair Specialist? - Walnut Creek, CA
January 15, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
Are you looking for a European auto repair specialist?
If you’re a European car owner you might know that it can be hard to find a great mechanic that specializes in European and German made automobiles like Mercedes, Audi, Volvo and others. Depending on where you live, you might not even have a European car mechanic in your town. And it can be annoying.
I have a friend that grew up having Audi vehicles in their family. Being big car fans they always wanted to have a great mechanic working on their cars. They one day found a great shop in Truckee, CA and stuck with the same mechanic for years.
The reason that’s a big deal is because Truckee is located in Lake Tahoe near Reno, NV and my friend lived in Oakland, CA. That’s almost 200 miles between the two cities, roughly 4 hours driving time.
And they would drive it up to Truckee every time they had a scheduled service coming up.
So if you live in the Bay Area and you’re a European car owner, instead of driving all the way up to Reno, give German Sport European Auto Repair Specialists a chance. They’re just as good and they’re located in Walnut Creek, CA.

Who Better To Publish The Architectural News In San Francisco, CA?
January 12, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
In searching for someone great to publish the architectural news in San Francisco we found a Mr. John Ploss. Not only is John a very nice person, stand-up guy as they say, but he is more than qualified.
John framed his first wall when he was nine. He’s been actively working as an architect since 1977. He founded his own firm in 1988. He’s done everything from small home additions, to new home designs to 200 unit multi-family projects. In the world of residential architecture, you could say he’s done it all.
I’d say that about qualifies.
However, I’d like to interject and argue against my own point that being qualified is having lots of experience. In hindsight I think that a stronger point might be the type of work that one puts out, the creativity that an architect expresses in their work and the overall success of the buildings they design. In fact, if someone has been doing a job all of their life and never becomes great at their craft, can that person be considered an expert?
It is difficult to determine…
But not with John. Not only is he experienced but his designs are outright beautiful. Visit his site and see for yourself.

Did You Know Geico Insurance Agency Has Local Offices? - Pleasant Hill, CA
January 9, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
Did you know Geico insurance agency has local offices?
Geico is more than an insurance company with a great marketing department. They have great rates and coverage for nearly any vehicle you have from motorcycles to cars to boats and more. And most people already are aware of this because most of us have seen the bombardment of commercials. But I’ve never seen a commercial about Geico having local offices.
Perhaps the reason is because they’re just starting to get into local markets, which is great. Geico wants to be able to provide a face to face experience to those who want that type of interaction and that feeling of assurance with their insurance.
One thing that is most impressive about Geico is that over the past few years, ever since Warren Buffet acquired a stake in the company, and since the inception of their mascot the Gecko, the company has become a household name, seemingly overnight.
With the roll that Geico is on, I’d keep an eye out for a local office coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

A Towing Company That Can Tow A Plane! - Concord, CA
January 6, 2010
By John Kitts, CityScoop Staff Writer
Have you ever seen a towing company that can tow a plane? No joke! It’s a serious question.
The odds of towing a plane are very low compared to just about anything, even houses. I can remember more than one time that I’ve seen a portable house being driven to a destination already assembled. I can’t think of the last time I saw a plane being towed away.
B & D Towing company in Concord, California can tow just about anything. Maybe even a house. I know they can tow cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, sports cars, commercial vehicles, big rigs and even planes!
I wouldn’t have believed it myself if I hadn’t seen it in a picture.
Exhibit A: The Photo…
