SECRET SHOPPING | Cheaper May Not Be Better

December 10, 2009

We get a lot of calls and website inquiries looking for pricing information.  Inevitably, someone will say, at some point in our conversation, X Company said that they would do the shops for $X less than you — can you match the same price?

Our response is generally, we will most likely be able to beat their price and offer you the identical service.  However, why are you looking to cut corners when it comes to the most important element of your business.  It goes without saying that you’re out of business when you’re out of customers.

Now, don’t get me wrong.  We are not the most expensive on the block.  We’re usually never the cheapest, either.  We don’t charge for changes to the observation or schedule.  Others, especially those who deeply discount their pricing use these as opportunities to really make up for lost time.  In the long run, they’re often charging 25%-50% MORE than we do.  For an inferior service!

You can see how cheaper isn’t always better — or even equal!
